1:1 sessions
Online or in person, specifically tailored to your nervous system.
Experiencing deeper regulation, safety and connection with your body - through movement, breath and somatic awarenes.
in person
Karolin teaches trauma-sensitive yoga at two studios in Vienna:
- Manas Yoga (trauma sensitive yoga) on Friday evenings
- Frei Yoga Cafe (intuitive yoga) on Tuesday evenings.
In-person sessions offer the grounding energy of practicing alongside others, with the same emphasis on choice, accessibility, and nervous-system support. No adjustments, no pressure - just space to be with yourself.
What is trauma sensitive yoga?
Trauma-sensitive yoga is a gentle, body-centered practice that supports nervous system regulation, presence, and inner safety. Instead of focusing on alignment or performance, it emphasizes choice, sensation and grounding.
Core principles of trauma-sensitive yoga:
Shapes are offered as options
No hands-on adjustments
There is no right or wrong
Emphasis on interoception (feeling internal sensation)
Choice + agency are central
Pace follows the nervous system
Awareness, breath and curiosity guide the practice
Safety and boundaries are prioritised
how i teach
My teaching weaves somatic awareness, polyvagal principles and intuitive movement into each session. I guide with gentle cues, open language, and invitations that help you connect to your own rhythms. My focus is on attunement - meeting you where you are, without pressure, performance, or expectation.
What you can expect from me:
Language that supports interoception and agency
Space to pause, feel, choose, or not choose
A grounding, calm pace that follows your capacity
Options tailored to and gentle pacing for your nervous system
Emotional safety, consent, and non-judgment
A warm, steady presence rather than a performance-based class
Whether online or in person, the practice centers your experience - not the pose.

“Karolin is pure magic in this earthly world. She can take you to another dimension, allowing your self and body to follow the inner rhythm. Her voice accompanies you, her words are not just external inputs, they quickly become just an echo while you start feeling your inner needs, desires... grounding yourself and feeling all the aliveness through our body.
Just in these moments with her, I found what YOGA truly means... it's definitely not just about stretching. When we hugged ourselves today, guided by her voice, my tears started falling ….“

“My experience with Karolins yoga classes is that she creates a very safe place to practice together. It forces me to really slow down for an hour, which is hard for me but needed. It helps me to check in while being supported by her class. It is not a regular class and I've never experienced yoga in this way before. Afterwards I feel all calm and soft.”
- Veerle, biologist, netherlands
“I have been so happy to find Karolins trauma sensitive yoga classes. It is easy to notice how knowledgeable Karolin is about the topic and able to transfer this into practice.
I have to really commend the latest practice with sensing yes and no in the body. This has proven to be literally life changing for me during this past week.
Karolins classes have been invaluable and I am so grateful for the knowledge she has shared with me and others.”

Community sessions
This weekly gathering is a gentle, choice-based yoga and somatic practice where there’s no need for perfect alignment or performance. The focus is on sensing, feeling and moving in ways that support your body, nervous system and personal rhythm.
What makes this space special is that we do it together. Being witnessed and held in community is an essential part of the practice, especially when working with trauma. At the end of each session, there’s an open space to share, if you wish, and to be seen in your pain, grief, joy, or simply in your presence.
Here, practice becomes not just individual self-exploration, but a shared experience of connection, compassion, and aliveness - supportive, regulating and nurturing in the safety of your own home.

Private sessions are fully tailored to your life, your nervous system, and what you’re moving through right now. We begin with a gentle check-in about your current state - emotionally, physically, and internally - and I build the practice around what you need that day. Through slow movement, sensing, and breath, we follow your rhythms at a pace that feels supportive.
Each session ends with a short reflection phase, where you can share what you noticed, how the practice felt, where your mind drifted, or anything that arose. This helps integrate the experience and bring its effects into your everyday life.
Sessions are available online or in Vienna.

Why practice online?
Practicing online offers a unique opportunity to move, sense, and rest in the safety and comfort of your own space. Because this approach is not about perfect alignment and adjustments wouldn’t be offered in person either, it works wonderfully online. You can fully tune into your body, explore movement freely, and even make sounds - without fear of being seen or judged.
It’s a chance to cultivate presence, self-regulation and curiosity, and to integrate the effects of your practice directly into your daily life.

No - this is not therapy and I won’t be giving clinical advice. It’s a supportive body-based practice that may complement therapy, but it isn’t a replacement for it. You’re here to explore movement, breath, and connection with your body at your own pace.

Not at all. This practice is open to anyone who wants a gentle, choice-based approach to movement, self-connection and nervous system regulation. Some participants have a trauma history; some don’t. All are equally welcome.

No, it’s completely your choice. You’re welcome to have your camera on or off at any point. I will always respect your privacy and comfort.
-
No, there’s no expectation to speak. You’re free to simply listen and participate quietly. Your inner experience is your own, and silence is always welcome.
That being said, if you wish to share whatever comes up during practice, there will be space and time to be witnessed in community at the end of each practice. -
Only if your camera is on - otherwise you’ll remain unseen. I do mute everyone’s microphone during the practice so you can move through your own experience without distraction, while still being able to hear my guidance. You are always in control of how visible you want to be.
