Its all about the nervous system, baby

hi, my name is karolin

Welcome to my world - I am so glad that you are here!

Loosely based in Austria and a hunger for the world, you most likely find me in the forest, hiking in the mountains or skinny dipping in a lake or river, always with a piece of dark chocolate in my bag.

With a background in social anthropology, over 1000 hours in the psychosocial field, and training in yoga, polyvagal theory and mind-body coaching, I weave professional knowledge with lived experience.

From silent retreats to sailing across oceans and working on community projects worldwide, my path has been one of exploration, resilience, and learning to attune to the subtle rhythms of life - within and around us.

let's connect

slow down, soften and become alive with me

Trauma sensitive Yoga

My teaching style is trauma sensitive, gentle and intuitive. I will guide you through a practice that lets you attune to your own body’s wisdom and find safety within.
You can find me in person in Vienna at manas-yoga.studio or practice with me online: with private sessions or the community practice…

1:1 Coaching

Have you heard of somatic coaching?
“Soma” means body—and here, your body is part of the conversation. While talk therapy or traditional coaching can be helpful, they often leave out the wisdom your body holds. Transitions, challenges, or past experiences can get “stuck” in the body, and somatic coaching helps you move through them with gentle awareness.

My 1:1 coaching is personalised to you, guiding both mind and body to help you reconnect, sense your own rhythms, and become more alive.

Retreats

Have you ever slow traveled?
My retreats focus on humanising your travel, slowing down, connect to land and self. We will explore how to move through the world without overwhelming our system.

„Peace in oneself is the first step to peace in the world. Each mindful breath, each moment of self-understanding, contributes to collective harmony.“

– Thich Nhat Hanh

Student love

“My experience with Karolins yoga classes is that she creates a very safe place to practice together. It forces me to really slow down for an hour, which is hard for me but needed. It helps me to check in while being supported by her class. It is not a regular class and I've never experienced yoga in this way before. Afterwards I feel all calm and soft.”

- Veerle

“I have been so happy to find Karolins trauma sensitive yoga classes. It is easy to notice how knowledgeable Karolin is about the topic and able to transfer this into practice.

I have to really commend the latest practice with sensing yes and no in the body. This has proven to be literally life changing for me during this past week.

Karolins classes have been invaluable and I am so grateful for the knowledge she has shared with me and others.”

– Miia

„Karolin is pure magic in this earthly world. She can take you to another dimension, allowing your self and body to follow the inner rhythm. Her voice accompanies you, her words are not just external inputs, they quickly become just an echo while you start feeling your inner needs, desires... grounding yourself and feeling all the aliveness through our body“

– Adele

Client love

“I was very much at a standstill, with Karolin I had someone at my side who helped me to move forward again”

- Sebastian

“She makes me feel seen and heard. And she notices when I get overwhelmed and then switches from talking to somatic exercises, like breathing exercises, body scans or some small movements. This is very effective for me to get out of my head (and overwhelm) and into my body. ”

– Veerle

„Karolin helped me to feel comfortable by being open to all questions, listening to my thoughts and adapting to my current situation. Given my doubts about certain life choices, I felt I could speak openly and discuss whatever was on my mind; I always felt welcome and well understood. But most of all, I liked the way we were together, reflecting on my thoughts, dreams, etc., so that I really felt that we were on the same side and not that I had to go through this alone.“

– Johannes
